End of life planning. (will, power of attorney, etc)?
Question by Sharise A: End of life planning. (will, power of attorney, etc)?
Hello Everyone:
I have been deemed executor of a relatives funeral arrangements and the will. As you may be able to tell from the previous sentence I do not know a lot about what I must do. I need someone to tell me what I need to do, what steps have to be taken, what bases I need to cover, any legal anything, paperwork, and really anything else you may have to say to help me. I am open to considering whatever I get. I will be dealing with funeral arrangements, power of attorney, various medical concerns, last will, and estate. I really need some help here and I am hoping that you kind people will help out. I very much appreciate the time and effort you put into your response and your kindness in doing so.
Thank you very much!

Oh poor you, there will be much to do for you. Firstly most good funeral directors will have a list for you which will give you the order you need to do things in. Probate will need to be arranged which you could have done through a solicitor, or do it yourself if you feel you would be up to it. It can take up lots of time in phone calls, letters etc. I suggest first though that you get the death certificate from the doctor or coroner and register it with the registrar who is in the area of the sole that died. You will need at least 3 signed certified copies of this certificate, which can be got and signed for at the sime time you register the death. There is a small charge for the extra copies. Best wishes to you, what a sad time for you. XXX
