Has anyone had Suze Orman’s “Will and Trust Kit” Docs (i.e. Living Revocable Trust) Reviewed by an Attorney?
Question by Jx2: Has anyone had Suze Orman’s “Will and Trust Kit” Docs (i.e. Living Revocable Trust) Reviewed by an Attorney?
Suze Orman’s “Ultimate Protection Portfolio” has 4 estate planning documents:
~1: Living Revocable Trust
~2: Advanced Directives and Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care
~3: Financial Power of Attorney
~4: Will
~5: Big Ugly Link Below http://www.suzeorman.com/igsbase/igstemplate.cfm?SRC=SP&SRCN=protectionhelp_login&GnavID=95&SnavID=113
Has anyone completed these documents and had them reviewed by an attorney in your area? If so, what was your lawyer’s advice?
Are the documents legally sound?
With minor tweaks to customize for personal situations, will these documents be considered legally valid and the wishes expressed within carried out?

I like Suze Ormon and I had the same question. I ended up going to www.legalzoom.com Very thorough and comprehensive. All your questions are answered. I just received my Living Will, and I’m very pleased with the document. The next one I’m ordering is a living trust. Legal Zoom lets you know if you need an attorney’s advice. Check it out. You might find the answer you’re looking for even if you don’t use their service.
Great question!

Does anyone believe the government can run ANYTHING successfully?
Question by rookie35m: Does anyone believe the government can run ANYTHING successfully?
American people, democrat or republican.. We American citizens are not the problem. This whole party rhetoric on here is silly. This is what the government of the strongest economy in the world does when trying to run business.
Social Security – “The Social Security Board of Trustees today declared that the Social Security program is not sustainable over the long term…
DI program costs have exceeded tax revenue since 2005, and trust fund exhaustion is projected for 2020.
OASDI tax income will begin to fall short of outlays in 2016, and will be sufficient to finance 76 percent of scheduled annual benefits in 2037, after that, the combined OASDI Trust Fund is projected to be exhausted.” – SSA.gov
Medicare – “Medicare’s financial difficulties come sooner—and are much more severe—than those confronting Social Security…
The projected date of HI Trust Fund exhaustion is 2017, two years earlier than in last year’s report …
…could be brought into actuarial balance over the next 75 years by changes equivalent to an immediate 134 percent increase in the payroll tax … Larger changes would be required to make the program solvent beyond the 75-year horizon ” – SSA.gov
Did you get the above? Payroll tax has to be raised 134% to keep SSI solvent.
The Post Office – “Thus, USPS recorded a loss of .8 billion for fiscal year 2008. Its debt increased by billion by the end of the year to .2 billion. USPS’s outlook for fiscal year 2009 has become more pessimistic. USPS projects… another loss, and billion more in debt. At this pace, USPS could reach its billion statutory debt limit by fiscal year 2011.”
Now, looking at the performance of similar government programs and the propensity of politicians to lie to get their programs approved, is it really that far fetched to believe that HCR will go way over budget like every other government program? According to the former CBO director, it’s already there before we even get started.
“Removing the unrealistic annual Medicare savings (3 billion) and the stolen annual revenues from Social Security and long-term care insurance (3 billion), and adding in the annual spending that so far is not accounted for (4 billion) quickly generates additional deficits of 2 billion in the first 10 years,” – former CBO director Douglas Holtz-Eakin.
Take a minute and read the above. Voters, are you positive that this health care reform bill is the best thing for our country?

SS and Medicare would be fine without Republicans dipping their greedy fingers into those, and trying to cut pieces out of them to give to private business’s. There are better ways to fix SS, how about a flat SS tax rate to all people, so the wealthy are taxed at the same rate as the rest of us?
And to answer your question… No. I am not positive that this healthcare/insurance reform is the best thing for reforming healthcare coverage in our country. I would have much preferred a public option, or single payer. However this reform is still better than doing nothing, as the Republican party has been advocating for this badly broken system, for decades.
