Question by Father Knows Best: Can I still set up a trust for my dad’s estate tax credit?
My dad died over a year ago and the trust document my parents wrote says at his death, a trust is to be set up for his estate tax credit amount. My mom recently died and the trust never got completed. Can I still finish it before I continue with my mom’s part of the trust?

Is there a real estate tax credit for widows?

Question by jennifer g: Is there a real estate tax credit for widows?
A coworker informed me that there is a real estate tax credit for widows over the age of 50. Does this exist?

Real estate taxes are local. You’d have to talk to the tax office at your city or town hall to find out.
